The Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) is proud to unveil an exciting transformation of its flagship event, Singapore Archifest, as it enters its 18th edition in May 2024.
Singapore Archifest 2024, wholly owned by SIA, is poised to redefine the architectural landscape, bringing together all of SIA's key events under a single roof in May 2024, in Singapore.
The revamped Singapore Archifest 2024 will be a convergence of the architectural world, incorporating the Archifest Conference, SIA Practice Convention, SIA Architectural Design Awards Presentation & Annual Dinner, SIA Young Architects Forum, and selected Professional Knowledge Series (PKS). As part of its evolution, the highly successful Architectural Specifier Market (ASM) will undergo a metamorphosis, adopting the name Architectural Specifier Market (ASM) Expo and transitioning into a trade exhibition format, seamlessly co-located with Singapore Archifest 2024.
In this groundbreaking move and leveraging SIA’s warm relations with our neighbouring institutes of architects, Singapore Archifest 2024 will extend its reach beyond borders, inviting both international and regional architects to be a part of this event, providing a platform for Singapore’s architectural firms to expand their global footprint.
With a total of eight key events, spanning over five exhilarating days, Singapore Archifest 2024 is set to become the largest gathering of the architecture community in the country, where education, design, practice, networking, business opportunities, and international collaboration take centre stage.
Adding to the excitement, Singapore Archifest 2024 proudly showcases the SIA-curated Singapore Pavilion, which garnered international acclaim when exhibited at the 2023 Venice Biennale in Venice, Italy. Its return to Singapore underscores the country's commitment to pushing the boundaries of architectural innovation.
Singapore Archifest 2024 is made possible through a strategic partnership with TAC-Group, an Association Specialists Company headquartered in Singapore, renowned for its expertise in the region's built environment industry. This collaboration aims to elevate Singapore Archifest 2024 to new and greater heights.
President of SIA, Ar. Melvin Tan, expressed his enthusiasm for this monumental shift: "Singapore Archifest has been the landmark architecture event for SIA for the past 17 years. In 2024, SIA will bring a new integrated format that leverages our collective resources and expertise to deliver an unparalleled experience for architects, professionals, and enthusiasts. In addition to celebrating our rich architectural heritage, we're expanding our horizons, fostering global connections and positioning Singapore as a hub for architectural excellence."
